Some Trends in Algebra '03

The meeting is organized once per two years by Department of Algebra, Charles University, in collaboration with Department of Mathematics, Czech Agricultural University. The topics include various aspects of module theory. The main focus is on category theoretic, homological, set theoretic and model theoretic methods. There will be a room of 30 minutes for short talks.

The conference will take place on the campus of the Czech University of Agriculture, Kamycka 129 (the street), Suchdol, Praha 6 (detailed plan of the location). The campus can be reached from the station "Dejvicka" (metro line "A" terminal) by the bus no. 107 or no. 147. The campus is next to the bus station "Zdemedelska Univerzita", just cross the main road "Kamycka"

  • From the airport to "Dejvicka": take the bus no. 119. It goes directly to "Dejvicka".
  • From the Main Railway Station to "Dejvicka": take metro line "C" to the station "Muzeum", there change for metro line "A" and go to the terminal "Dejvicka".
  • From the railway station "Holesovice" to "Dejvicka": take metro line "C" to the station "Muzeum", there change for metro line "A" and go to the terminal "Dejvicka".

As ussualy, there is no registration fee.

The accommodation will be arranged on the campus of the Czech University of Agriculture as well, the dormitory BCD (see the campus map, "Kolej BCD" is markeded by 8). In order to minimize unnecessary bank commisions, we accept all payments in EUR or USD (or any other major currency). The prices of accommodation are 20 EUR for single room and 26 EUR for double room and night. Breakfast is not included. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept cheques or credit cards, so all payments should be made in cash.

When you come on the campus, someone will wait for you at the entrance to "BCD" in most cases. In any case, they will know your name at the reception desk and will accommodate you.

A traditional social evening will take place on Thursday, September 4, at 19.30. The price is 10 EUR per person.
